In October 2022, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced its commitment to transform practices in migrant worker housing by fostering innovation in health resilience and enhancing the liveability of housing environments. To lead this transformation, NESST Singapore Limited was established in 2023. As the managing entity for two new Purpose-Built Dormitories (PBDs), NESST is at the forefront of exploring and advancing best practices in housing infrastructure and dormitory management.
Through a collaborative approach, NESST will partner with stakeholders and the private sector to co-create Signature Programmes. These initiatives are designed to promote innovation, shape housing standards and build a resilient future for migrant workers. By sharing these advancements, NESST aims to elevate industry standards and inspire positive change across the entire dormitory sector.
