Strengthening Partnerships: Welcoming MWC Ambassadors to NESST Tukang
We were delighted to welcome Migrant Workers’ Centre (MWC) Ambassadors to NESST Tukang for a fruitful exchange on dormitory operations and resident engagement. Many of these leaders have journeyed with NESST since the very beginning, supporting us through key milestones as we reimagine dormitory living. Their encouraging feedback strengthens our commitment to continually improve and to work closely with our community, residents, and partners to uplift the well-being our Tukang Community.
Discover Little India’s flavours at Tukang through collaboration with LISHA
NESST is excited to collaborate with the Little India Shop Owners & Heritage Association (LISHA) to bring a taste of Little India to NESST Tukang! Soon, our minimart will feature an exclusive LISHA-curated selection of products — from signature spices and herbs to daily essentials and more. Residents can also look forward to a monthly “Highlight of the Month,” showcasing festive or seasonal items that celebrate culture and tradition.
NESST-DASL Joint Partnership Forum
The NESST team was honoured to host Minister of State Dinesh at the NESST Tukang Dormitory. The visit provided an opportunity to share more about NESST, our current progress in construction and highlight innovative design features that enhance comfort, safety, and liveability for our migrant residents. We appreciate MOS Dinesh’s support as NESST continues advancing worker liveability and health resilience across the industry.
In preparation for operationalisation, we recently carried out a comprehensive Dormitory Readiness Update to ensure every aspect of the facility meets the highest standards. This included thorough reviews of fire safety systems, hygiene protocols, emergency response procedures, and first aid preparedness.
Behind every milestone lies a network of dedicated partners who believe in the mission. For NESST, the journey to develop the NESST Tukang Dormitory — the first MOM-owned dormitory — has been strengthened by the steadfast support of the NESST Board of Directors and the MOM Design Advisory Panel. Their guidance has shaped NESST’s approach to uplifting standards and liveability in migrant worker housing, ensuring that the project stands on a strong and sustainable foundation. As NESST prepares for the official launch of Tukang Dormitory, this achievement stands as a reflection of shared purpose, collaboration, and commitment to building better homes for workers.
NESST Shines at MOM’s Tech & Innovation Day
NESST was proud to take part in MOM’s Tech & Innovation Day, showcasing our innovations and exchanging ideas with fellow MOMers. The event sparked fresh insights and reinforced our drive to challenge the status quo and simplify work processes. As change remains constant, how we harness it defines the future. NESST continues to strengthen the resilience of the migrant worker ecosystem — partnering across people, private and public sectors to enhance dormitory management capabilities and drive innovation for a more secure, connected, and liveable dormitory system.
