Welcoming Our First Residents & International Migrants Day (IMD) Celebrations

On 6–7 December, NESST Tukang welcomed our first residents, marking a meaningful milestone as the dormitory moved from vision to reality. We also took the opportunity to celebrate International Migrants Day with our residents and partners, recognising the people at the heart of this journey. Our sincere thanks to everyone who came together to help create a warm, inclusive, and community-centred home away from home. Looking ahead, we will continue working closely with employers to onboard more residents smoothly leading up to NESST Official Opening Ceremony.

Carebros: Strengthening Community from Within

NESST CareBro initiative is a cornerstone of community life at NESST Tukang, built on trust, peer leadership, and care for fellow brothers. Our first CareBro Together brought resident leaders together to share openly, strengthen bonds, and form a trusted circle of support. As NESST Tukang grows, we will continue working closely with our CareBros to strengthen the
community from within to shape an empowering, resilient, and sustainable environment residents can proudly call home.

Special thanks to M1 and AsiaPac for their support in co-creating the CareBro Cosy Corner!

Creating a Culture of Mental Wellness at NESST Tukang

Mental well-being is important to everyone. In partnership with
HealthServe, NESST organises regular sessions to equip new residents with essential knowledge on recognising and reducing stress. This initiative is made possible through the support of our NESST CareBros and employers. Conducted in residents’ native languages, these sessions help foster a safe, supportive environment and steadily build a stronger, more resilient, and healthier community.

In Conversation with Migrant Worker-Centric NGOs

As part of our ongoing engagement with the broader migrant worker ecosystem, we hosted several NGOs for a preview of NESST Tukang Dormitory, in partnership with ACE Group (MOM). The session sparked meaningful exchanges on perspectives, ways to stay connected, and new areas for collaboration. Adding their creative touches and thoughts, the NGOs joined in the co-creation of our entrance mural wall, made possible through our collaboration with LISHA. This mural wall represents home and a visible circle of support that our residents can see and feel every day, reminding them that they are part of a community that cares.

Family Day and Staff Trial Stay

NESST team completed our Trial Stay at NESST Tukang, marking a key milestone before welcoming our first residents. From safety drills to onboarding and systems testing, our operations were thoroughly put to the test.

We also took a moment to celebrate our two-year journey at NESST Family Night — a reminder of our purpose to create a safe, welcoming home for those we serve. As we approach opening day, we are ready to welcome our residents home.
