International Migrants’ Day (IMD) is a key annual platform that recognises the contributions of migrant workers and migrant domestic workers, while fostering greater public appreciation, understanding and stronger connections between the migrant and local communities in Singapore.

In line with NESST’s mission of creating a supportive and inclusive environment for migrant workers, NESST will organise the IMD 2026 celebratory event in partnership with MOM. This collaboration reflects NESST’s unique position within the migrant worker ecosystem and its strong network of stakeholders, including migrant workers, employers, community partners and private sector organisations.

Opportunities to Volunteer and Contribute:

Individuals and organisations are invited to be part of IMD 2026 through the following volunteering and contribution opportunities:

• Goodie Bag Packing
  30 November to 4 December 2026
  Support the preparation and packing of appreciation goodie bags for migrant workers attending the event.

   

• IMD Ambassadors
  13 December 2026
  Serve as event ambassadors with various roles such as welcoming participants, providing wayfinding support and including facilitating engagement activities.

   

• Stage Performances
  13 December 2026
  Contribute to the celebrations through cultural, musical or creative performances that showcase the diversity and vibrancy of our migrant community.

   

• Talent Showcase
  13 December 2026
  Showcase your creative works as part of a dedicated appreciation platform celebrating the achievements and talents of migrant and migrant domestic workers.
